Andrea Shepard is an associate professor emeritus of economics and strategic management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. At Cornerstone Research, Dr. Shepard coheads the antitrust and competition practice and manages competitive analyses for large, complex litigation. Her focus includes merger reviews and allegations of price fixing and monopolization. She also consults in cases involving class certification, corporate control, and alleged product misrepresentation. Dr. Shepard’s consulting experience includes cases in the pharmaceutical, telecommunications, energy, information technology, financial services, consumer products, and semiconductor industries.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Research, Dr. Shepard was a professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She taught graduate and undergraduate courses in microeconomics, industrial organization, and strategic management. Her research has been published in leading, peer-reviewed academic journals. She was tenured at Stanford University in 1997.
