Galley
Katie Galley developed the firm’s financial institutions practice. For more than twenty years, she has consulted on all aspects of financial institution issues in a variety of legal disputes, including the ACC/Lincoln Securities Litigation and the Glendale Federal Bank breach of contract case, which resulted in a major judgment against the U.S. government. She has worked extensively on savings and loan and banking issues involving the analysis of the economics, structure, practices, and regulation of the industry; performance of financial institutions; directors’ and officers’ responsibilities; auditors’ and attorneys’ duties; and estimation of damages.
Her expertise also extends to the credit card industry, insurance industry, mutual funds, pension funds, and the securities and real estate issues that arise in financial institutions litigation. In addition, Ms. Galley has managed cases involving breach of contract, punitive damages, and valuation issues as well as cases involving auditor liability in a variety of industries.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Research, Ms. Galley was a consultant with McKinsey & Co., active in the financial institutions practice, and assistant director of research at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
