Adel Turki consults primarily in cases involving derivatives, complex securities, and valuation issues. He also has analyzed damages issues in antitrust, breach of contract, the Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and wrongful termination cases. Dr. Turki serves as an expert witness in addition to assisting attorneys with locating experts and clarifying the economic and financial issues in complex cases.
Dr. Turki's trial work includes NL Industries v. Lockheed Corp., NL Industries v. Maxxam, Kahn v. Tremont, Equity-Linked Investors v. Thomas H. Adams, et al., and IBP, Inc. v. Tyson Foods, Inc. He provided consulting and expert support for attorneys representing the more than thirty defendant brokerage firms in the NASDAQ antitrust litigation.
Dr. Turki has published articles on the use of options to value new ventures and on the risk/return trade-off in venture capital-backed projects. He is on the faculty of the University of Maryland and was on the faculty of Stanford University and Purdue University.Back to Senior Staff list
