Michael Topper is the head of Cornerstone Research's antitrust practice. He specializes in the application of microeconomics, econometrics, and quantitative analysis to complex litigation. He has significant experience consulting to attorneys on a range of liability and damages issues in antitrust, intellectual property, regulatory, and contract dispute matters.
Dr. Topper has expertise in a number of industries, including telecommunications, media, high technology, transportation, and oil and gas. He has managed large project teams, identified experts, and provided economics support to faculty and industry experts. Dr. Topper also has consulted on nonlitigation business and economic issues, such as merger and telecommunications policy. For ten years he taught courses in economics and antitrust policy as a lecturer in the Department of Economics at Stanford University.
Before joining Cornerstone Research, Dr. Topper was on the economics faculty of the College of William and Mary. Dr. Topper also has worked as an engineering economist at Bell Laboratories and Bell Communications Research.Back to Senior Staff list
