In the second installment of this report by the ABA’s Section of Antitrust, the authors discuss the competition implications of big data and artificial intelligence/machine learning.

As members of the Big Data Task Force of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section, authors from Cornerstone Research contributed to a special two-part report, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: Emerging Legal and Self-Regulatory Considerations. The first part of the report focused on legal issues raised by the use of big data and how corporations’ use of data analytics affects consumers.
In the second installment, the authors discuss the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) and their impact on competition law, both in the United States and internationally. Topics covered include:
