On October 4, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) hosted a virtual roundtable discussion on the impacts of generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) on creative professionals. The roundtable brought together a diverse group of professionals from a broad range of creative sectors. The roundtable’s stated goal was for the FTC to hear directly from creators about how Gen AI affects their work and livelihood, and to better understand concerns related to competition in labor markets.
