Dr. Gilbert will moderate a panel featuring Cornerstone Research affiliated expert Michael Richards of Cornell University and focusing on implications of the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC’s) claims for continued agency interest in the role of private equity firms in healthcare.

Panelists will examine the FTC’s complaint that US Anesthesia Partners (USAP) engaged in monopolization of anesthesia practices through a series of acquisitions, highlighting the role of USAP’s private equity investor.
