Cornerstone Research affiliated expert Darius Lakdawalla of the University of Southern California will moderate and speak on several panels at this four-day conference in Montreal.
13 May (Tuesday)
- Professor Lakdawalla will co-present a short course titled “Valuing Health: The Generalized Risk Adjusted Cost-Effectiveness (GRACE) Model.” The course will provide an overview of the GRACE model and its application for health technology evaluation.
14 May (Wednesday)
- As part of a plenary session titled “Drug Price Controls—What Are the Unintended Consequences to Innovation?”, Professor Lakdawalla will analyze how price limits affect innovation and market availability.
- On a panel titled “How Should Health Economists and Health Policymakers Measure the Costs of Inequality?”, Professor Lakdawalla will moderate a discussion of the challenges that health economists face in quantifying inequality.
- Professor Lakdawalla will speak on a panel titled “Challenges in the Implementation of Generalized Cost-Effectiveness Analysis (GCEA): Debating a Path Forward.” Participants will examine whether and how societal value elements should shape value assessment and payer decision-making in the United States.
