Phil Leslie and Mark Chicu of Cornerstone Research, together with affiliated expert Aviv Nevo of the University of Pennsylvania, will participate in multiple sessions at this two-day summit in Washington, DC.
The National Association for Business Economics (NABE) Econ + Law Summit explores how modern economic tools can inform investigations, enforcement, and litigation, with a focus on antitrust, artificial intelligence (AI), and intellectual property (IP) cases.
On the first day of the Summit, Dr. Leslie, Cornerstone Research’s Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, will moderate a panel titled “AI Transformation and the Future of Litigation and Legal Decision-Making.” This panel brings together technology experts and economists to discuss the evolving role of AI in complex litigation.
One the second day, Dr. Chicu will moderate a panel of former government officials to discuss antitrust matters. This session, titled “Perspectives from Former Federal Antitrust Economics Leaders,” will also feature Professor Nevo, who formerly served as Director of the Bureau of Economics at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and, previously, as Chief Economist at the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ).
