Cornerstone Research hosted a networking event on “The ‘How’ of Happiness,” that featured Professor Sonja Lyubomirsky of the University of California, Riverside.

Cornerstone Research hosted its sixth networking event for San Francisco Bay Area professional women working in the legal field. Professor Sonja Lyubomirsky, of the University of California, Riverside, was the evening’s featured speaker.

As Professor Lyubomirsky explained, “Happiness not only feels good; it is good. Happy people have superior health and higher incomes. Fortunately, experiments have shown that people can intentionally increase their happiness.”

She offered insights on the “how” of happiness—the small and simple activities that can transform people into happier and more flourishing individuals.

Sonja Lyubomirsky is professor and vice chair of psychology at the University of California, Riverside. Her teaching and mentoring of students have been recognized with two Faculty of the Year awards and a Faculty Mentor of the Year award. Professor Lyubomirsky is the author of the best-selling book, The How of Happiness: A Scientific Approach to Getting the Life You Want. Her work has been featured in hundreds of articles, and she has appeared in multiple TV shows, radio shows, and documentaries throughout the world.
