Our Curious Amalgam: Does Visual Generative AI Make Better Ads? Exploring AI Advertising Effectiveness

Share

Kathleen Hu of Cornerstone Research and Vilma Todri of Emory University discussed the impact of visual generative AI (genAI) on advertising effectiveness during a podcast hosted by the American Bar Association (ABA).

Professor Todri joined Dr. Hu on the ABA Antitrust Law Section’s podcast, Our Curious Amalgam, to discuss Professor Todri’s recent coauthored paper, “The Impact of Visual Generative AI on Advertising Effectiveness.”

As businesses increasingly consider the use of genAI for work that has historically relied on human creativity, questions have emerged about how consumers will respond. In their conversation, Professor Todri and Dr. Hu considered where AI is already being used in advertising, as well as the implications for ad effectiveness and AI disclosure policies.
