Beau Page consults on financial economics matters, with a focus on banking, corporate governance, executive compensation, and the impact of uncertainty on firm behavior and decision-making. Dr. Page has substantial regulatory experience, specifically in financial model validation and risk assessment. He has served as a subject matter expert on statistical methodology for regulatory teams.

At the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Dr. Page served as a senior financial economist within the Economics and Risk Analysis division. At the OCC, he led independent validations of over twenty models that addressed financial institutions’ credit risk, fraud detection, and stress testing. His work involved evaluating statistical methodologies, including machine learning algorithms and traditional regression models.

Dr. Page has published articles in leading journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Finance, Financial Management, and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. The Review of Finance named his coauthored paper on financial frictions a finalist for the Pagano and Zechner Best Paper Prize. Another paper, focused on executive compensation and firm value, was featured in the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation. He speaks at academic and professional conferences and has presented at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

Before joining the OCC, Dr. Page held several academic and teaching positions. He served as an assistant professor in the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston and subsequently held a visiting assistant professor appointment at Tulane University’s A. B. Freeman School of Business. Dr. Page’s teaching experience includes courses on corporate finance, valuation methodologies, and venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE).
