Sheldon Anderson has over a decade of data analytics and data science experience, focusing on complex economics and finance issues arising in commercial litigation.

As a leader in Cornerstone Research’s Data Science Center, Mr. Anderson oversees the development of critical internal tools and services that amplify the firm’s analytical capabilities. He provides specialized programming and technical analysis, supporting consulting teams, clients, and experts with advanced analytics techniques and data management tools.

Mr. Anderson’s technical expertise spans large-scale data processing, financial modeling, and forensic analysis across diverse industries and litigation contexts. In matters involving securitized mortgage defaults, Mr. Anderson supported academic experts applying sophisticated econometric models, including hazard rate models to determine the primary factors driving mortgage defaults. He has developed specialized programs for processing big data and implemented optimization techniques to estimate alleged damages. In addition, Mr. Anderson has created critical infrastructure tools to streamline data production logistics.

Within the Data Science Center, Mr. Anderson leads firmwide projects to enhance the data capabilities that Cornerstone Research delivers to clients and promotes industry best practices for big data handling and analysis. He established comprehensive guidelines for application development and spearheaded the creation of the firm’s Large Language Model (LLM) Application Programming Interface (API).

Mr. Anderson provides technical guidance and support to colleagues, including through training sessions and workshops, and has authored internal documentation on the firm’s data science capabilities.
