Cornerstone Research assisted counsel during the Glaxo and Burroughs Wellcome merger, which created the largest pharmaceutical firm in the world. As part of the merger agreement, Glaxo agreed to divest a substantial research project. Working with Professors Michael Gibbons of the Wharton School and Professor Henry Grabowski of Duke University, we analyzed the procompetitive effect of the research project’s divestiture.
