Aviv Nevo Receives 2019 Antitrust Enforcement Award

The American Antitrust Institute has honored Aviv Nevo for Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement in Economics.

Washington—Aviv Nevo of the University of Pennsylvania is an honoree of the American Antitrust Institute 2019 Antitrust Enforcement Awards. Professor Nevo, who is also a senior advisor at Cornerstone Research, is receiving the award for Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement in Economics.

The AAI recognizes Professor Nevo for his work in FTC v. Wilhelmsen et al. Professor Nevo served as the Federal Trade Commission’s economist and expert witness. Supported by Cornerstone Research, he provided testimony on market definition and market concentration issues, as well as the likely competitive effects of Wilhelmsen Maritime Services’ proposed $400 million acquisition of Drew Marine Group. AAI also honored Professor Nevo in 2017 for his work in U.S. et al. v. Aetna Inc. et al.
