Ross Askanazi consults on commercial litigation and regulatory investigations, with specialized experience in market manipulation, intellectual property, valuation, and breach of contract matters. As a member of Cornerstone Research’s Applied Research Center, Dr. Askanazi conducts statistical and economic analyses involving large or complex datasets. He has also evaluated antitrust and competition issues in banking, healthcare, and health insurance.

Before rejoining Cornerstone Research, Dr. Askanazi served as special adviser to the Chief Economist at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), consulting on rulemakings related to national securities exchanges, broker-dealers, hedge funds, and pension funds, among others. Previously at the SEC, he worked as branch chief of the Investment Advisers Branch, Division of Economic and Risk Analysis (DERA).
