Retained by Weil, Gotshal & Manges

Meta (formerly Facebook) completed its acquisition of Kustomer, a customer relationship management (CRM) company, after facing regulatory review in several countries. Counsel for Meta retained John Asker of UCLA and Kostis Hatzitaskos of Cornerstone Research to assist in the regulatory review process.

Cornerstone Research and Professor Asker evaluated the transaction’s competitive effects for the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s review. They also assisted counsel in the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s and European Commission’s review.

Meta announced the planned $1 billion acquisition in November 2020 and completed it in February 2021.
