• Russell Molter is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Mr. Molter specializes in matters involving accounting, auditing, forensic investigation, and merger efficiencies. He has analyzed a range of issues related to cost accounting, accounting for income taxes, revenue recognition, contingent liabilities, fair value, and derivatives. His work includes assisting public and private companies, as well as government entities, across a variety of industries. He is based in Chicago.
• Matt Osborn addresses issues involving financial markets, corporate finance, and financial institutions. Dr. Osborn evaluates allegations of securities fraud, conducts valuation analysis, and analyzes large financial market databases to assess claims of financial market manipulation. He has examined price impact, market efficiency, loss causation, and damages in 10b‑5 securities litigation and has conducted valuation analyses. Dr. Osborn’s research has been published in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. He is based in Washington.
• Ellen Paulus specializes in matters involving financial markets, financial institutions, and valuation. Dr. Paulus consults to financial services firms, including asset managers and broker-dealers, with a focus on the performance, pricing, trading, and alleged manipulation of both exchange-traded and over-the-counter securities. She has extensive experience analyzing the complex capital structures of high-growth technology companies and their valuation implications. Dr. Paulus has published research in the Journal of Empirical Finance. She is based in Boston.
• Matt Poczatek is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who focuses on financial reporting and auditing issues arising in litigation, internal investigations, and regulatory enforcement actions. Mr. Poczatek also consults on matters involving corporate governance, cost accounting, and forensic accounting issues. He has extensive expertise with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their application to revenue recognition, loss contingencies, income tax, business combinations, segment reporting, impairment, and fair value measurement. He is based in Chicago.
