- Sheldon Blake Anderson is a data science expert with substantial statistics, machine learning (ML), and data visualization expertise. With extensive experience addressing complex data challenges as a leader in Cornerstone Research’s Data Science Center. Mr. Anderson supports consulting teams, clients, and experts in high-stakes litigation.
- Sally Bai addresses complex accounting, auditing, and forensic investigation issues arising in litigation, as well as internal investigations into suspected and alleged fraud, bribery, corruption, and other financial irregularities. Ms. Bai also consults on matters involving cost accounting, corporate governance, damage quantification, purchase price disputes, and fund/asset tracing.
- Chris Bruegge consults on matters involving antitrust and competition, merger review and merger litigation, and consumer fraud and product liability. Dr. Bruegge’s industry expertise includes airlines, automobiles, energy, music and media, payment systems, sports, and technology. His experience includes complex, high-stakes trials in federal court.
- John Connolly consults on matters related to consumer finance, valuation and M&A, trading of securities and derivatives, and corporate governance. Mr. Connolly supports clients and experts in all phases of litigation across U.S. federal and state courts, the Delaware Court of Chancery, and U.S. and international arbitration associations.
- Sinan Corus provides economic and financial analysis and expert support in commercial litigation in the U.K., U.S., and Europe. Dr. Corus’s experience includes merger review; economic damages assessments alleged monopolization, product liability, corporate disclosure misrepresentations, and unfair pricing; and ex post evaluation of competition policy actions.
- Maréma Diop specializes in litigation and regulatory enforcement actions involving financial reporting, auditor liability, corporate financial disclosure, and corporate governance issues. Ms. Diop also consults on matters related to securities and consumer fraud and product liability.
- Laurien Gilbert specializes in antitrust and competition matters. Dr. Gilbert’s expertise spans numerous industries, including technology and telecommunications. She teaches economics at Georgetown University and serves as a vice chair on the ABA’s Unilateral Conduct Committee.
- Nathaniel E. Hipsman specializes in antitrust and competition matters, including horizontal and vertical merger reviews and conduct litigation. Dr. Hipsman’s expertise includes economic modeling and complex data analysis, which he applies to industries that include technology, healthcare, and transportation.
- Ian Hoffman consults on matters involving product liability claims, false marketing claims, public nuisance allegations, life sciences, and tax controversies. Dr. Hoffman’s experience extends across a range of industries and includes class actions, mass torts, individual actions, and cases related to breach of contract and qui tam claims.
- Mariano Irace specializes in antitrust and competition issues, with a focus on the healthcare and technology industries. His experience includes matters alleging anticompetitive conduct, as well as merger reviews, both on behalf of merging parties and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
- James Myatt provides economic analysis in antitrust, competition, and merger review matters. Dr. Myatt analyzes a variety of topics in these contexts, including horizontal and vertical mergers and allegations of monopolization, tying, vertical restraints, and anticompetitive conduct. His industry experience includes entertainment, telecommunications, and technology.
- Jakub Mydlarz addresses complex issues related to valuation, M&A transactions, securities, and financial institutions. Mr. Mydlarz has assessed loss causation, damages, and valuation across a range of industries and financial instruments, including in the context of Rule 10b-5 securities class actions and derivative matters.
- Kevin Oswald consults on a wide range of complex liability and damages matters, with a focus on the insurance and consumer finance industries. Mr. Oswald is a credentialed actuary and a leader in Cornerstone Research’s insurance and pension plans practice.
- Brendan Travers consults on litigation and regulatory investigations involving securities, market manipulation claims, and financial derivatives. Mr. Travers analyzes issues related to loss causation, damages, and market efficiency, with experience that includes Rule 10b-5, Section 11, and Section 14a securities matters, as well as improper trading allegations.
- David Zuluaga has over a decade of experience in analyzing class certification, liability, and economic damages issues, with a focus on investment management issues and regulatory investigations. He has also consulted on securities litigation, financial market microstructure, and matters involving consumer financial products.
